Glenuill
The food, which is prepared in Glenuill, in English could be called smart comfort food. The restaurant serves food for each day, being based on the usual ingredients, however the cooked dishes are recreated and made in a trickier way than you might imagine unlike in the majority of restaurants. As an example we can take the "Posh Fries". Posh fries has been cooked in truffle oil and served with parmesan atop which at first sounds quite unusual, but I guarantee you it tastes amazing.
The restaurant has nothing to do with having Russian cousine or design, the restaurant has been created by an Australian man named Glen Ballis. Glenuill is placed near the center of Moscow and the food combinations that you can find there are simply fascinating as I have already mentioned. The cafe is quite small though it has very interesting interior design. The design is very simple but at the same time it's fairly welcoming and cozy when you are there. Nevertheless, the cutlery is what drags most attention. Fries and toast, for example, are served on the wooden, hand-made plates and boards "Craft 937", lemonades are poured into iron enameled cups, and main dishes as well as desserts are served on Soviet plates with painted blue flowers on them. It is a very pleasant experience to spend time at this restaurant and try out all of the different meals that they serve. The taste sensations are quite a ride at this place! |
